100% of the proceeds from Hope Gala go directly towards funding the annual operation cost of $875,000 for The Clarence T.C. Ching Hope Lodge Hawaiʻi. This is the only Hope Lodge in the western United States, offers complimentary, temporary housing to cancer patients and their caregivers traveling 40 or more miles to receive treatment. Guests come from 58% Big Island; 15% Kauaʻi; 15% Maui; 6% Molokaʻi; and the remainder from Lanaʻi, Guam, American Samoa, and other Pacific Islands. The average length of stay is 14 nights, with 57% of guests returning for at least a second stay. Since opening in late 2016, Hope Lodge Hawaiʻi has conferred benefits totaling $3,881,000 by providing 16,725 free nights of lodging for over 998 unique cancer patient check-ins,
$10,000 Provides 100 cancer patients and their caregivers a one night stay at The Hope Lodge Hawai'i.
$7,500 Funds operating costs for (4) nights at Hope Lodge Hawai'i, with transportation
$5,000 Funds the operation costs at Hope Lodge Hawai'i for (3) nights.
$3,000 Provides (30) days of lodging to a patient and their caregivers
$1,000 Provides (1) week of free transportation for guests to and from their cancer treatment.
$500 Provides (5) nights of lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers.
$250 Provides (1) night stay for a cancer patient and their caregiver with ground transportation
$100 Provides a (1) night stay for a cancer patient and their caregiver.
